Sweat Equity

Hello North Carolina!

I am still getting up and running, but had a very productive week this week!

On Wednesday, I was fortunate enough to be able to spend time at Raul Rubiera Photography.  Raul and his lovely wife Katrina (of Candy Gram Studios) are such talented and experienced photographers - professional, artistic, and creative, yet friendly and willing to share knowledge and ideas with newer photographers like myself as well. They have a great studio space, and make it available to fellow photographers when it is not in use.  I am grateful for their presence in the community, and look forward to future visits to their studio!

On Thursday, I attended a marketing class - one designed for new business owners - at the Women's Business Center of Fayetteville.  I am happy to have found this organization; they are a fantastic resource for new small business owners!  The instructors and staff were supportive, friendly, and well-informed.  A representative of the Small Business Association was there as well.  I appreciated the welcoming and encouraging environment, and look forward to attending future classes at the WBC over the next few months.

My focus in upcoming weeks will be to continue putting lots of sweat equity into standing up, marketing, and growing our business.  I might try giving away one more batch of gift vouchers (hopefully into the hands of people who will find them useful and valuable enough to actually redeem!) as well.

That's it for now.  Have a great weekend NC!

Laura
