Lakewood, Washington Wedding Photographer

One of the first things I did upon relocating to Joint Base Lewis McChord, Washington last summer was to search for nearby gardens and photography venues. I was delighted to stumble upon Lakewold Gardens in Lakewood, Washington. Lakewold Gardens is a hidden gem, tucked away just off Interstate-5, and I'm so happy to have found it!!

My first visit to the Gardens occurred in the off-season, on a chilly fall day. Even then, I found the Gardens to be captivating and breathtakingly beautiful.

Since that first visit, I've returned numerous times to location scout, test shoot, and just enjoy the Garden's peaceful and beautiful surroundings. I can't get enough of them. There seems to be something new in bloom every time I go.

One of my favorite aspects of Lakewold Gardens is how many picturesque portrait locations there are within the garden grounds (which seem to go on and on and on - such an enormous space!!). There are charming benches, winding paths, small and large ponds, large moss-covered trees, blooms and blossoms and greenery everywhere, vine-covered trellises, intricate gazebos, indoor and outdoor event spaces, and many more treats and treasures interspersed throughout the gardens and grounds.

Another thing I have come to appreciate about the Gardens is how helpful and friendly the staff members (many of whom are volunteers) are.

I am very excited about photographing weddings at Lakewold Gardens and doing spring and summertime portrait sessions there (can't wait to see, share, and photograph the Gardens while they are in full, lush bloom!)!!
