Hi! I'm Laura. I am the owner and photographer at Laura Kesler Photography, and am very happy to meet you!
I am a photographer, lawyer, and retired military veteran. While lawyering is my full-time occupation, I am fortunate enough to work for an organization that permits me to serve as a photographer on a part-time basis. I perform photography services on weekends, evenings, and holidays. I love collaborating with others and creating photos that tell stories.
I have an associate's degree in photography and media arts and work hard to continue my photography education on a continual basis - all with the goal of creating photos that you will love and that will reflect your unique story.
My husband Chris and I are part of a big, blended family that includes five kids and two fur-babies. Keep scrolling to get to know Chris, Kenai, and Bailey!
This is Chris. You might see him lugging around camera gear, holding a light stand, or performing on-site set-up. Sometimes he serves as a second photographer as well. He enjoys creating photos that document and tell other people's stories in a way that is is most meaningful to them. At weddings, he especially likes creating cinematic portraits, detail photos, and venue photos. In his personal work, he creates beautiful landscape photos. He is currently working on a long-term documentary photo project involving one of his favorite Washington landmarks, Mount Rainier.
Meet Bailey and Kenai, our rescue dogs extraordinaire! They keep us company while we prep gear, edit photos, design albums, and perform administrative tasks. They love sleeping - so much so that we think they might be part sloth. They love playing, especially with socks, tennis balls, and toilet paper tubes. They also love eating, especially taco scraps and pretzels dipped in peanut butter. They fill our days with endless amounts of unconditional love and rescued us as much as we rescued them.
